Sony BRAVIA KDL40BX420 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV

I’ve got this television for a year now and i also can’t say anything negative about it. I like the picture good quality, it looks amazing and there are numerous options to adjust the options. Changing the settings on here is very easy.
The sound is also wonderful to me. We took a long time to decide on the TV and I’m glad We went with this. Some people get mentioned needing extra loudspeakers but I obtain the sound to be just fine when watching movies as well as stuff. The actual older films are most likely likely to have difficulties with any new television as well as the only real concern is they audio low on a fresh tv. We have only acquired this problem with some older movies not all.

Your newer motion pictures especially the High-definition sound wonderful and look incredible on this television! I specially love which it works with my Sony ps, if I switch on the PS3 it activates the tv immediately. I know how sluggish can you end up being haha yet it’s still an awesome feature! We’ve turned off the actual motion circulation on a few of the older films to take aside that “live tv” search that it provides to elderly movies. That only really happens along with older movies/tv displays but I uncover turning over motion movement helps a good deal. It’s not really an issue unless you are watching a KDL40BX420 great deal of old videos..in which case I’d personally say time to upgrade them.
My video gaming on the Ps3 slim also search stunning with this TV. I’ve been nothing but very pleased with it!

TCL L32HDF11TA 32-Inch 720p 60 Hz LCD HDTV

I have been wanting to get an HD Flat Screen Television for a looooong time now, and have just been awaiting the prices to drop to some range I could manage. When I saw L32HDF11TA this specific TCL 40-Inch, I knew which my time had occur at last.

It is a wonderful first-time TV. I push the button within minutes right out of the box. Very easy, simply no muss, no fuss. I did have to buy a separate High-definition multimedia cable in order to use it to my Digital video disc player, but that was also cheap as well as simple. Plug and Enjoy.

The image looks great. It is such a substantial improvement over my own analog TV which it was like seeing new movies. I can’t have a Blu Ray person, but my Dvd movie player has an upscaling characteristic that lets me use the full 1080p potential of the screen. A small problem I have had with the photo is the Backlight Sensor, which in turn senses the light in the room and adjusts the photo accordingly. I found this kind of always left the picture too dark, so I switched it off and would the manual environment.

Aside from the Backlight Sensor, the TV doesn’t have a lot of capabilities. This is a bare-bones machine. In fact, my old analog TV could perform more interesting items (like picture-in-picture), but frankly I barely employed those. There are a few different monitor options, and you can zoom a picture if you want, but again, besides playing with that feature with regard to awhile I never ever touched it once again.

I am not sure if it is the tv screen or my Dvd and blu-ray player, but a number of my old pre-widescreen Digital video disks, specifically my old Disney and Popeye toons, get automatically “widescreened” to suit the screen. This can be a bummer because it is essentially pan-and-scan which means I lose a few of the image. I have checked, but haven’t observed anyway to set the actual aspect ratio so that it gives me a sq . picture.

Overall, We are thrilled with the TCL 40-Inch. I needed some worries about not getting a known brand name, but I also have this TV for a number of months with no troubles at all. I would contentedly buy a TCL TV again.

Samsung PN64D7000 64-Inch 1080p 600Hz 3D Plasma HDTV

Posted by admin on February 28, 2012

I labored over online TV reviews for over a year, doing the research needed to make sure I was happy with my purchase. *My reviewer of choice is cnet* I had originally been leaning towards a LED LCD, since they supposedly had better bright room performance. I saw that the 7000 & 8000 had special filters to reduce reflections, and my interest was piqued.

I finally got the green light from my wife to make the purchase for my birthday (back in June)and immediately started looking at the reviews of the latest models. The PN64D7000 Panasonic TC-PVT30 series and the Vizio XVT3SV series were both highly reviewed and I had been looking at those for awhile. The PN59D8000 review came out shortly after I started looking, and they mentioned that the high marks on the quality of that model would also apply to the PN59D7000. I decided this would be the best of both worlds: the higher quality of plasma with the increased brightroom performance. The price was right in the middle of both as well.
I decided to purchase on Amazon without viewing the TV in the store since I’ve always heard that the calibration is very different, and store performance is not a good indicator of in-home performance. *There is a store setting, during setup.

The glare is noticable while the TV is off, but goes away for the most part once you turn it on. I did have an issue when my wife wanted to re-arrange the living room to where our 3 large living room windows were directly across from the TV instead of to the side. At that point, the glare was VERY bad during the day, even with the blinds closed. We ended up using it as an excuse to finally get curtains and the problem was solved. The remaining light was easily taken care of by the TV’s filter.

I fully calibrated the TV to the 8000 settings originally & the TV color looked a little off (7000 calibration wasn’t out yet). After digging a little more, I read a suggestion to wait to calibrate until the TV had broken in. I returned it to the default setings and waited a month. By then, the 7000 calibrations were out and cnet had reviewed the 7000 claiming it was the best value available. I had liked the default settings, but could tell they weren’t perfect. Once I used the cnet calibration, the TV was exactly on the money.
